It's good to have a friend in marketing who or their boss but couldn't attend gets perks, and they were nice enough to think of you as the "plus one".
So tommorrow I am going to the V Festival (which I honestly only heard about on the radio last night)... I don't know who's performing (except for Beck)... and I hear Gnarls Barkley is there too... That's pretty cool (ok, so I only know one song but it's a fun song). And hey, I'm a "plus one" on Beck's guestlist.. that's pretty cool too (oh yeah, and I save $125 too)

i miss my cable internet...
this is like dialup...
broadband isn't supposed to be this slow...
maybe i have to inspect it over the weekend and see if it was set up properly...
i think we're slowly settling into the new house... there's still so much to do though...
i bought my first Ikea purchase today...
i think i must be one of the few people out there that thinks ikea is overpriced...
sure they have some bits and pieces like plastic bins and plastic alarm clocks that are dirt cheap, but the big furniture pieces, for the quality and price they are selling it for... not as cheap as everyone claims it to be...
oh well.... so i got ripped off... but i made up for it by buying a plastic bin...
anyways the keys to the old house was handed to the new owners on Monday. So we have officially moved. And no, housewarming not happening anytime in the near future.

well since there's still no internet at the new house, so i really don't have a choice...
well there's always a choice - i don't really have to blog now do i?
but since it's one of the last times i can do that in this old house, in this old space, the place i've called home for the past 15yrs, i might as well do it...
it's quite sad really, just looking around the place. it's so bare, since most of the furniture was moved out on Sunday. I'm actually just sitting on the floor in my room, keyboard on my lap, mouse on a shoe box, and the monitor on the ground in front of me. There's no furniture left at all. Just a couple of boxes here and there. And yes, the built in wardrobe i added to the room a couple of years ago. Have to say goodbye to that too I guess.
I never actually got around to cleaning this room. Now it's too late.
I would take a picture to show you the sad state it's in, but the camera's at the new place.
How is the new place? well the house is there. Carpet is placed in. It's liveable. Furniture is there. Although I'm still sleeping on a matress on the floor. I keep getting worried that a cockroach is going to crawl into bed with me in the middle of the night. Mainly because I found one lurking around in my room the other day - probably because it hitched a ride with the old boxes. So I'm sleeping in the spare room. And also because there's too many boxes in my room taking up the space.
Anyway, the house is livable, but the garden is not there. It's just dirt at the moment. So the best way to picture the house is a nice "mc mansion" on a big patch of dirt.
I'd take a picture, but then I'd forget to bring the camera to this house to upload the photo.
Alright I'm quite tired (just got home from work an hour ago), and I don't think I'm making much sense, so I'm going to go. Byes.

(Yeah, yeah I know what you're thinking.. shut up about the house already, and post something about europe... yeah later when I have time. maybe next week when I get the internet so I'm no longer sitting on the ground)

...currently in amsterdam...

it's such a great atmosphere in this part of europe...  reminds me of the good times i had at the beginning of tour... we didn't have accommodation for the weekend so we set out to Rotterdam for the night, and planned to go to Eindhoven to watch the football game there... but we spent our football ticket money on boots so we decided we'll just go back to Amsterdam and wing it/stay out all night... which is what we did.. it is currently 8.29am Amsterdam time and I'm bugged... the night started off good but then everything closed at 4am so we had nowhere to go for 4hrs.. i don't really know how we managed to make that time go away but all i know is that it was cold... very cold here...

we decided that making big decisions in amsterdam is not the best idea...

another not so good idea is going to netherlands at the end of february, at the last week of sales... hence, why my boots tally is now up to 3...

we left for Rotterdam yesterday with one small backpack and a handbag each...

we came back with a few shopping bags, and a wheely hand luggage... i'm going to have such a hard time carrying all this stuff back...

five days to go before i go back home.. that's just so sad.... back to reality.. :(
